Intolerance and impatience

Ian came to me asking if I could make him more tolerant. My response was that I couldn’t make him anything, but that I could help him to see things from a different perspective and teach him techniques to see the bigger picture, so that his natural response would be more appropriate and helpful to him. He said that was what he wanted, and so we began. In the following session, he expressed how amazed he was at the increased sense of calm he felt, and how the previous sense of frustration he felt was now replaced by a bigger understanding, permanently.
